DSC02155What do people expect of men and boys?

Men and boys – we want to hear from you!  How has your life been shaped by what people think men and boys should be like?

Yes, All Men – the latest We Can! initiative – will host our first focus group discussion with men and boys* to explore this question.

Share your stories, experiences and ideas for how we can start talking, listening and making change.

What does society tell us “being a man” means?  What expectations do you feel you have to live up to?  Are men pressured to value dominance, aggression and power?  What impact does this have on others?  Can we create more room for everyone to be themselves?

What is it like to grow up as a boy in Singapore?  What were your experiences of dating and sexuality?  Did you see homophobia, sexism or violence among boys and men in school, National Service and elsewhere?

Please join us to discuss these questions and more.  This is an open, supportive and non-judgmental space.

* as well as gender-fluid and non-binary folk who identify with these issues
